Operation M.I.S.T.: Keeping a Maternal-Health Monitoring Platform Running

Client: Operation M.I.S.T., a US maternal-health organisation that monitors expectant mothers through smart-watch data.

Service: Product engineering and AWS operations.

The challenge

The platform relies on Garmin wearables and runs on AWS. Two vendor deadlines threatened it: Garmin retiring OAuth 1 for its Connect Developer APIs, and AWS requiring an upgrade of ECR Basic Scanning before 2 February 2026.

Our approach

  1. Statements of Work for the Garmin Connect OAuth 1 → OAuth 2 migration and the Amazon ECR image-scanning upgrade (Nov 2025).
  2. Ongoing support of the AWS RDS-backed application (dev and prod) and a notifications feature estimate.
